Lakeside Estate Launches Town Homes

In an effort to increase the Ghanaian housing stock and provide affordable homes for the working class, Lakeside Estate a real estate company has introduced a Townhouse.

The Townhouse is a two-bedroom house.

Unveiling the product at Ashaley Botwe near Accra, the Managing Director Col. Timothy Barnes said the company is determined to rollout products which are tailored to meet the increasing needs of the public.

Affordable housing has been a major challenge facing the countries working class and more city dwellers. Experts in the countries housing industry say Ghana’s housing deficit is in excess of about 500,000 units dubbed if the situation can be reversed in about 25000 passing units are built annually within the period.

Lakeside Estate a real estate entity is poised to augment governments effort to providing affordable housing units through mortgage facilities. The company has launched new brands of apartments at its housing estate at Ashaley Botwe near Accra.

The two bedroom apartments go between $26,000.00 and $29,000.00

The President of the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) Dr. Alex Tweneboah expressed concern about the high housing cost particularly in cities and in the country. He edged players in the industry to be innovative to help find lasting solutions to the problem.

The Director of the Lakeside Estate Mr. Salah Kalmoni explained that the Company’s new product was thoroughly researched to meet the test of natural disasters like earthquakes and also confront modern building technology.
